Glenn Cunningham
Glenn was an American distance runner;
he was considered the top amateur athlete in the United States. Cunningham’s
legs were very badly burned in an explosion, he was only eight. The doctor told
his parents that he might never walk normally again. On the summer of 1919 he
tried to walk for the first time two years after the accident. Cunningham had a
